This is a fun paranormal romance series with one of my favorite male characters: Bones. He's reason enough to read them, and is often voted as one of the best male characters in the genre. Vampires, ghouls, witches, ghosts-definitely a lot to keep you busy.
Cat is a great main character, tough and determined.
Good luck, and I hope you enjoy the series as much as I did.
"Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father—the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unholy partnership.
In exchange for finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner—are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn't have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her newfound status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side . . . and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat." (flap copy from goodreads)
I won't share anymore flap copy with you because they contain spoilers
Jeaniene Frost really lucked out with gorgeous cover art that opens to reveal a double spread. I've forgotten the industry term for this, but inside Bones is featured ^^.
I haven't read books five and six yet.
Thanks for the giveaway! I've been meaning to read this for awhile, but haven't yet! Ghosts scare me the most because they're real!
ReplyDeleteHonestly I am most scared by humans in movies and books, because the things that they can do are far scarier than the things monsters can do.

Ghosts scare me the most in movies (The Sixth Sense still scares the heck out of me!). Not much scares me in books, but I guess the scariest paranormal creatures are really evil, crazy witches.
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway!! Generally the things that scare me the most aren't vamps or shifters. I think I'm creeped out more by zombies or other mindless reanimated beings, because they are icky and usually have no control over their actions. Or worse they're under someone else's control!
ReplyDeleteI don't actually scare easily when reading a book or watching a movie so I'm not really sure what to say to that. LOL

Thanks for the giveaway! Anticipation of something scary frightens me more than the thing itself. :)
